Self Defense |

With the help of his training in both karate, aikido, judo and tai chi,
sensei Haynes feels himself totally comfortable in teaching self-defense.
Auto defense or self-defense, as mostly named, isn’t as such a discipline.
It’s the combination of the most efficient techniques coming from
other disciplines. It’s quite rare to have people skilled in multiple
disciplines or martial arts. No unique martial art can be considered as
complete; each of them is specialized in one specific domain. As an example,
the karate is focusing on hands and legs kicking techniques, aikido on
seizing and dislocation techniques, judo on projections and even more
on ground techniques. We also see that learning all of these techniques is not so easy. That’s why some martial arts teachers have imagined, in order to be able to efficiently defend ourselves, to group the most efficient techniques from all these disciplines in one. The Army has also fast created a method to give the knowledge to the troops in a short timeframe, it’s called the close combat. The main difficulty is to find his way through all the possible techniques. We propose you here a first lesson, a really short overview of a simple and relatively complete progression that enables to enhance ones ability to defend oneself and become more confident. Some important principle to follow: |
